As the Buxton Raceway Forum
has grown as a forum community it has learned
from experience and mistakes and evolved into a
busy yet friendly place that is central to many
fans' online enjoyment. From today, in addition
to the Membership Guidelines that everyone agrees to as they join
the forum, there are now some Content
Rules too.
All future new members will also have to agree to
these as they register. As follows:
Acceptable Forum Content
News, views and personal opinions relating to
Buxton Raceway and visiting Formulas are welcome
here, providing these are not expressed in a way
which contravenes any of the Unacceptable Content
rules below.
Off Topic (O/T) Items are allowed, please post
them in the 'General' part of the Forum, but
please note these will only remain on the Forum
if they are likely to be of interest to the
majority of forum members.
Unacceptable Forum Content
Swearing, even where words are disguised using
other symbols instead of letters.
Personal insults, Abusive or threatening remarks,
and any comments which may be considered
harassing, vulgar, crude, sexist, racist,
homophobic or otherwise offensive.
Personal banter between limited numbers of
members - please use email or personal messenger
such as MSN etc.
O/T items which are likely to appeal to only a
minority of the membership.
Any comment which may be considered libelous,
defamatory, unlawful or which in any way implies
any connection with, or contains links to,
unlawful activities, substances or pornographic
material.
Any content, which is considered to be designed
to provoke other forum members, or to disrupt the
operation of the forum.
Any content which is considered to be designed to
discredit the Sport, its Participants, Supporters
or Promoters.
Any post containing any material which you do not
own without the express permission of the owner
of the material.
Managing Forum Content
Any Posts which are considered by Buxton Raceway
to be in breach of the above rules will be
removed without warning, so please consider the
rules before you post.
Any Posts which are the subject of any complaint
will be removed without warning.
Any Member who persists in posting Unacceptable
content will be suspended from the Forum for 14
Days. Doing it again following re-instatement
will result in permanent removal. No warning will
be given in either event, life's too short.
If a Member is a Buxton Raceway Registered
Driver, offences will be the same as laid out
above, but please note that your actions could
affect your right to race at Buxton Raceway, the
Promoters decision is Final in all cases.
Multiple accounts are not welcome here. Any
Member found to have registered more than one
account without express prior permission may to
have their right to post removed
Username / Password Use
By becoming a member of the Buxton Raceway Forum,
you agree that you do not let others have use of
your personal username and password, you are
responsible for it and all messages posted with
it will be your own responsibility.
Your Username may be changed upon application to forum@buxtonraceway.com stating your existing username and the
one you want to change to.
Right of Appeal
Anonymous Members - none. If you want to come on
here and hide behind a false identity, you have
no Rights whatsoever, anywhere on here.
Known Members may appeal any decisions via E-MAIL
ONLY to dp@buxtonraceway.com . You will receive a reply, where
appropriate, usually within two working days.
Application of Content Rules
The Buxton Raceway Forum is actively moderated.
It is impossible for us to monitor the Forum 24
hours per day, so we have asked others to help
with the process. Any decisions about Suspension
or Removal from the forum will be made
collectively where possible.
No failure to remove any particular material
constitutes an endorsement or acceptance of it by
Buxton Raceway.
By becoming a member of the Buxton Raceway Forum,
you agree that any Claim arising from any Content
added by you, will be a claim against you and you
alone, and that Buxton Raceway has no
responsibility for any Content provided by you. |

couple of last notes - To view and post a message
you must be a registered member, please
use the 'Register'
button - please use a home ISP email address and not
Hotmail or Yahoo, all registrations are now done
manually so apologies if there is a delay, you
will of course recieve an email notification upon
acceptance.
By posting messages on the forum, you
automatically agree to the above Content Rules,
regardless of whether you choose to read the
rules or not, the rules are clear, and fair, for
all honest users.
The Buxton Raceway Promoters decision is
